Last night, through the wires, I got news that Osama bin Laden was killed in a military operation, signed by the president and carried out perfectly. No Americans were harmed in the operation and the plan was said and done by 11 PM last night.
Today, not 24 hours later, conspiracy theories abide through way of further news reports that Osama had been buried out to sea – hours before the DNA testing had come back. Then the day was spent watching and reading news articles from Fox, MSNBC, CNN, Routers and so on, giving claim to all different reports – Osama has been dead since 2001, Osama’s burial is a conspiracy theory, the war was financed through this that and the other. Blah, blah, blah, and it went on for hours for me.
Americans feel cheated out of their vengeance for the most evil man on earth. There was no Musselini-like parading of the body in flames, no suicide engulfed in flames and no ‘stringing up by the balls’. Osama bin Laden was killed in a 45 minute gun battle, taken dead by U.S. military troops and then washed out to sea before most of us woke up the next morning.
Sounded fishy (pardon the pun), no doubt, but there it is. And now we have to live with the forever horrible ending to a horrible story. It read like a bad movie script and many Americans are dissatisfied and want a re-cut of the scene. But unfortunately for most, there will be no re-takes. No Part 2 or sequel. All is said and done and no matter how true or false all of this is, forever more will we only know of the conspiracy theorists take on it all. Again, “that’s all folks!”
So our only option right now is to hope that the troops come home and we suffer no more losses. WE can only hope that national security does not rise through the wanting of terrorists seeking revenge. We can only hope that 9/11 can now be put to rest. And we hope Osama’s ‘murder by the hands of American military’, allows victim’s families and millions of angered Americans to sleep now that some form of justice has been done.
A final question for all of you theorists out there – Did it really take us 10 years to get Osama bin Laden, or just the 4 years of Barrack Obama’s term? Think about it.
